Clearance Sale!

So we are moving house in January and I am having a sale in my etsy store to clear out as much stock as I can before the move.

It's a good chance to buy a christmas present for someone, or a treat for yourself.

Most items are 50% off and in the words of that old sales cliche - everything must go!

Finished!

Well, I have finally finished the scarf I was making in  Morris Paddington 6ply.

It's a little late for winter, but the yarn is 80% bamboo and 20% merino so it should still be suitable for spring.  Plus we all know how unpredictable Melbourne weather is!

It's a simple shell pattern that I worked out myself, so not to hard to do.

Tweet Tweet!

Sorry for the absence...I have been busy with non creative things - bookwork for the bike shop and also selling our house in WA (which is done now, thank goodness!)

I thought I would show you the newest addition to my bird collection.  A pair of robins from Dorothy & Evelyn in Northcote.  They are actually salt and pepper shakers and come with their own little tray.  Too cute!

Some new yarn.  Morris Paddington 6ply to be exact, from Morris and Sons, ready to be made into a scarf.

Op Shopped

More often than not I seem to walk away from op shops empty handed but during the week I managed to find this sweet plate.  I couldn't resist buying it, especially since I already own one exactly like it.  Now I have two.

New Year, New Direction?

Well it is a new year again, (I know I am a little late since it February already!) we are back from a very hot holiday in WA and the bike shop is open and in full swing, which means my bookkeeping skills are in demand.
I should be planning my year for ruby-jo but instead I am feeling a bit lost creatively.  I don’t think I want to continue in the same direction I have been for the past few years but I am unsure exactly what to do next.
So… I have decided to put ruby-jo on hold/hiatus for a while, to give me some time to figure it all out.  That means I won’t be making anything new for the shop for a while and I will be giving myself time to experiment and play around with some of the new ideas I have floating around in my head.
I will be organising a sale in my shops soon to clear out old stock and in case you are wondering I will still keep blogging - hopefully a bit more frequently than I have been.
